Generally speaking, zinc alloy die-casting molds require high dimensional accuracy, and the dimensional tolerance of the cavity part is usually between ±0.02mm and ±0.05mm. The dimensional tolerance of the gate part needs to be controlled within ±0.01mm.

 

The die-casting parameters of zinc alloy die-casting molds mainly include injection speed, injection time, mold temperature and molten metal temperature. The selection and control of these parameters have a crucial impact on the quality and production efficiency of die castings. Generally speaking, the molten metal temperature needs to be controlled between 400°C and 450°C, and the mold temperature needs to be maintained between 150°C and 250°C.

The process flow includes steps such as mold preheating, mold loading, melting, pouring, injection, cooling and demoulding. Among them, mold preheating is to increase the mold temperature and reduce heat loss during the die-casting process; mold loading is to fix the mold on the die-casting machine; melting is to melt the zinc alloy into a liquid state; pouring is to introduce the molten metal liquid into the mold cavity; Injection is to fill the mold cavity with liquid metal through high pressure; cooling is to solidify the liquid metal; and finally demoulding is performed to take out the die casting.

In order to ensure the service life and stability of zinc alloy die-casting molds, regular care and maintenance are required. This includes cleaning the mold surface to remove dirt and oxides; checking whether the pouring system and overflow system are smooth to prevent clogging; replacing or repairing damaged or worn parts; regularly tightening and adjusting the mold base to ensure that it is stability and precision. In addition, the mold needs to be annealed regularly to eliminate internal stress and increase its service life.

 

The formed zinc alloy die castings need to meet certain quality standards. Its appearance should be clean and tidy, without obvious defects and cracks; the dimensional accuracy should meet the requirements without obvious deviations; the physical and chemical properties of the material should comply with relevant standards; in addition, air tightness testing and strength testing of die castings must be carried out. , to ensure that it meets the usage requirements. Quality inspection methods include visual inspection, dimensional measurement, metallographic analysis, hardness testing and non-destructive testing.
