1. Mold structure: Injection molds usually consist of two main parts: the movable mold and the fixed mold. The movable mold is also called the punch mold, which moves with the injection molding machine, while the fixed mold, also called the concave mold, is fixed with the injection molding machine. During the injection molding process, the movable mold and the fixed mold are closed to form a closed cavity that has the same shape and size as the final product.
2. Mold type: According to the different needs of the product, injection molds can be divided into multiple types such as single parting surface molds, double parting surface molds, side parting surface molds, etc. Among them, the single parting surface mold is the most common type. It has only one parting surface and can produce products with relatively simple shapes. Double parting surface molds and side parting surface molds are suitable for producing more complex products.
3. Mold material: The material of injection mold is usually steel, such as SKD61, SKD11, etc. These steels have good toughness and wear resistance and can meet the requirements for injection molds. In addition, in order to improve the corrosion resistance of the mold, some special steel materials can also be used in the manufacture of injection molds.
4. Mold manufacturing process: The manufacturing process of injection molds usually includes design, programming, processing, assembly and other links. The design link requires mold structure design based on product requirements, the programming link requires CNC programming based on design drawings, the processing link requires cutting based on programming results, and the assembly link requires assembling all parts together to form a complete mold.
5. Mold characteristics: Injection molds have the advantages of high production efficiency, high precision, and low cost. At the same time, because plastic products are light in weight, easy to process, and low in cost, injection molds have also become an indispensable part of the production of plastic products.
